We’re seeking an Accounting Manager to join a high-performing, close-knit team based in Hastings. This is a key full-time, permanent leadership role where you’ll bring your technical expertise while also leading, developing, and inspiring a team of accountants, all while delivering exceptional outcomes for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of accountants to achieve their full potential
• Providing regular feedback, coaching, and supporting performance development
• Managing team workflow, resourcing, and deadlines to ensure efficient delivery
• Reviewing work to ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency
• Preparing financial statements and tax returns, and providing technical accounting advice
• Delivering value-add services such as systems improvements, management reporting, and project work
• Partnering with clients to provide a full suite of business advisory services

About You:

• Experience in a NZ Chartered Accounting environment (preferred) or relevant commercial accounting experience
• Strong technical accounting and tax knowledge
• Proven ability to lead or mentor others, or strong readiness to step into leadership
• A proactive mindset with the ability to build relationships and add value
• CA qualification (or working towards) is advantageous but not essential
