FAQs
Job Seeker Information and Support:
How do I apply for a job with Able Personnel?
We regularly advertise our available roles on our website, as well as on platforms such as Seek, Trade Me, LinkedIn, and our social media pages (Facebook, Instagram). If you see a role on Seek or Trade Me, simply follow their application process, and we will be in touch from there.
If you spot a role on our website or social media pages, the easiest way to apply is to send your updated curriculum vitae to [email protected], along with a cover letter explaining your current situation and mentioning the role you are applying for.
Our friendly team will review your application and guide you through the next steps.
Do I need to register before being considered for roles?
No, you can apply for roles online or submit your CV to us directly.
Once you submit your resume, our team will review your experience and create a profile for you in our database. If we identify a role that matches your skills, we will get in touch to guide you through our simple registration process. This usually involves registering online, meeting with our team and completing any necessary pre-employment checks.
We can then present your profile to our clients for potential job opportunities. We are here to support you every step of the way.
What types of roles do you recruit for?
We recruit for a wide range of permanent, temporary, and fixed-term positions across Hawke’s Bay.
As generalist recruiters, we cover many industries, including administration, customer service, accounting, finance, HR, engineering, management, IT, horticultural, health, manufacturing, industrial and professional services roles. Whatever your skills and experience, we aim to find a role that is the right fit for you.
Will you contact me before sending my resume to a client?
Yes, we will always speak with you first and obtain your permission before sharing your details with any employer. We will then guide you through the next steps.
Do you accept applications from international candidates?
While we work with a range of clients, only Accredited Employers can employ job seekers from overseas under the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV) scheme, and many of our clients are not accredited.
Please also be aware that our agency is not accredited and has no influence over the immigration process. If a role is open to international candidates as part of the AEWV scheme, we will clearly state this in the job advertisement.
What we can suggest is researching New Zealand companies that align with your skill set and checking whether they are accredited employers. You can then approach them directly about potential opportunities.
