Office Manager - PT, Temporary

If you're an office all-rounder with experience in the building or construction industry this could be for you.

  • Part Time, 3 month assignment
  • Varied role starting early May 2019
  • Hastings based

Our client, a true specialist in their field, has a unique opportunity for an experienced Office Manager to work in this small professional company part-time for a three-month period.  Experience in the building/construction industry is most definitely advantageous.  

Your responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Bank reconciliations
  • Invoicing
  • GST returns
  • AR – Reports and Statements
  • Banking
  • Email communication
  • Responding to all enquiries and actioning these with the relevant people within the business
  • Assisting the owner with tasks on a day to day basis


The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes:

  • A minimum of 1.5-2 years office administration experience within the building and construction industry
  • Academic qualification in business/administration management
  • Knowledge and experience setting up and maintaining administration policies, systems, workflows and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Microsoft Office suite and XERO skills
  • Ability to analyse issues and make recommendations on how to resolve them
  • Ability to handle pressure and multi task whilst maintaining a high standard of work
  • Attention to detail
  • Be a team player who work autonomously

This is a part time role for the right candidate. The hours per week will depend on workload and the skills, knowledge and experience of the candidate. The assignment commences early May until August 2019.
