Our Hawke’s Bay client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their wood division.
Reporting to the Business Improvement Manager, you will be responsible for the engineering, planning implementation and tracking of critical business projects. You will demonstrate sound judgement when making challenging decisions and problem solving while encouraging contributions and input from project team members.
The Role:
- Liaise with stakeholders and other team members to achieve project deliverables
- Lead from the front, directing team members on focus areas
- Project planning – scope, workplan, timeline, resources, feasibility studies, project risk
- Implementation – execute, monitor, assess and report, ensure appropriate documentation of all project information
- Assist with preparation of contract documentation, resource consent requirements
Essential Skills:
- Bachelor of Engineering degree or Engineering Technology
- Min 5 years relevant project planning and project management experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment
- Data analysis experience
- Contracts and contract management experience
- Adept at leading personnel, managing budgets and resources
- Strong interpersonal, relationship and influencing skills
- High attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with proven ability to plan, organise, prioritise and deliver on promises
